Admins get finer control over look and feel in new version of Communifire

Axero Solutions adds increased functionality to Communifire, giving administrators more ways to easily brand the look and feel of social networks with new user-friendly management features.

(San Diego, CA, USA) – August 11, 2010 – Emerging enterprise software and collaborative technology leader Axero Solutions is proud to announce the addition of new functionality for its flagship Communifire product. Now administrators will find it even easier to exert greater control when uniquely branding the look and feel of their organization’s customized Communifire social networking platform.

With this new version we make it easier for administrators to bring their unique vision to life."

The newly updated Communifire makes branding such as changing a logo or “favicon” more readily accessible, even to people who have no technical background or special training. No coding or familiarity with HTML is required, and options have also been made available for editing menus. Now a simple dropdown box is provided that the administrator can use to select whether or not a sub-menu will be provided for community content. 

Similarly, control over what happens in spaces or groups has been improved. A new panel for management of those spaces has been added, making it easier to change each space individually. Articles, events, and web pages within each space now have their own configuration and hierarchy of categories – and polls can be created for individual sub-communities. Individual space administration can even be delegated to people who are not administrators for the larger community. So someone can be given the power and responsibility to manage their own particular interest group, for example, without giving them the keys to the entire community.

A new panel has also been added to the administration section of Communifire that enables administrators to override any style in the community. Administrators can change the color of all links, for instance, with a single line in an easily accessed control panel. Similarly, they can change the spacing and location of items on a page as well as the font size and color. The full power of CSS styling is made easily accessible to administrators.
