Happeo calls itself “the AI-powered intranet rated #1 for Google Workspace.” If your company runs on Workspace and wants a knowledge hub and company news on top of it, with AI search at the center of how people find things, it's a natural fit. It also works if your teams already chat in Slack or Teams and you want the intranet to be the official source of truth. The basics are there too: a people directory, mobile app, analytics, and an App Marketplace.
Microsoft 365 support, too
If part of your company lives in Microsoft 365, Happeo connects there as well: users and permissions from Azure AD, OneDrive and Office files, and embedded SharePoint libraries. It isn't a Google-only product.
Knowledge first
Its pricing page talks about bringing “company knowledge together.” Pages and page groups act as knowledge hubs, with templates, 30+ page widgets, multi-language pages, and AI page review. Lifecycle management flags outdated content and notifies its owners, and a Knowledge Engine add-on looks for gaps.

You want tasks, cases, and learning next to your news and knowledge
Happeo focuses on knowledge, communication, and search, and it connects to tools like Slack for chat. You won't find tasks, case management, learning (LMS), forms, project management, or recognition badges on its feature list. If you want those inside the intranet, you'd be running other tools alongside it.
You want each team to start with a working space
Happeo organizes things into Pages for knowledge and Channels for news and updates. Some teams would rather hand each department, location, or project one space that already has its news, files, discussions, calendar, and tasks, and let the people there fill it in.
You need to self-host, or keep data in the US
Happeo runs on Google's cloud and doesn't manage its own infrastructure, and its platform data is hosted in the EU. If you need to host it yourself or keep data in the US, not having an on-prem option is a deal breaker.
You want to see pricing before you talk to sales
Happeo's pricing page lists three plans, Starter, Growth, and Enterprise, and each one says “Book a demo” where the price would be. That makes it hard to put a budget together before you've talked to sales.

Spaces, SSO, and approvals
Axero Go Growth adds up to 10 spaces, single sign-on and directory sync, and content approvals, for up to 500 people.
Integrations, custom pages, or self-hosting

Is Axero a good Happeo alternative?

How does Axero pricing compare with Happeo?
Axero publishes its prices. Happeo's pricing page doesn't show any. Axero Go has two flat monthly plans: Essentials is $500 a month for up to 100 people, with a 7-day free trial, and Growth is $2,000 a month for up to 500. Axero Premium and Enterprise are quoted per user, starting at $10–$15 per user per month. Happeo lists three plans, Starter, Growth, and Enterprise, and each shows “Book a demo” instead of a price. We run on Google Workspace. Does Axero fit a Google-first company?
Yes, on Axero Premium and Enterprise. Those plans integrate with Google Workspace, Google Drive, and Google Calendar, support Google sign-in and SSO through any SAML 2.0 identity provider, and aren't tied to either Google or Microsoft. Your files stay in Drive and show up inside Axero. The Axero Go plans don't include the Google Workspace integration.
Does Axero include chat, tasks, cases, and calendars, or do those need separate tools?
They're built into Axero Premium and Enterprise. Chat, tasks, case management for help-desk style requests, recognition badges, and a calendar in every space (which syncs with Microsoft and Google) all come with the platform. Learning, forms, and project management are add-on modules. Happeo's feature list focuses on knowledge, communication, and search, and it connects to tools like Slack for chat.
Do we have to build a page for everything in Axero?
No. Axero organizes content in spaces, and each one has its own news, wiki, files, discussions, calendar, and members. A department gets a working home instead of a set of hand-built pages. Templates and widgets handle layout, and dynamic widgets pull in content based on who's viewing. Custom pages are there when you want them, but no team needs one to get started.
How does Axero handle scale and customization once we outgrow the basics?
As far as you need it to go. Non-technical admins get the page builder and templates. IT and developers get HTML, CSS, JavaScript, custom widgets, and REST APIs across 500+ endpoints, with webhooks on Enterprise. Axero App Manager lets you build custom internal tools right on the intranet. Permissions are granular, so expanding to new business units or regions doesn't mean starting over.
Can Axero be self-hosted?
Yes, with Axero Enterprise. You can run it in Axero's cloud or self-host it on your own infrastructure. Axero is SOC 2 Type II compliant and our cloud hosting environments are SSAE 18 (SOC 1, SOC 2 Type II) and ISO 27001 compliant. SOC reports can be delivered upon request.
