Recognized by the industry
Recognition only does its job when people can see it. When it lives in a one-off chat message or an annual review, it disappears before the rest of the team ever knows it happened.
A thank-you in a chat thread scrolls away in minutes. There's no record, no visibility, and no way for the rest of the team to celebrate along.
Without a way to surface who's contributing, quiet high performers get overlooked and managers miss the moments worth rewarding.
When recognition isn't tracked, you can't see which teams are engaged, who is consistently being left out, or whether the program is landing at all.
As an employee recognition platform that lives inside your intranet, Axero lets anyone recognize a coworker, award a badge, and celebrate it in the activity stream. Set up recognition programs, define the badges that matter to your culture, and watch engagement build on a live leaderboard.
Recognition programs & badges

Built for every stakeholder
HR & People
Give every employee an easy way to celebrate coworkers — and the engagement data to show how the program is landing.
Managers
Recognize your team in the moment with badges and kudos that everyone can see.
Leadership
Leaderboards and insights show engagement by team, badge, and period — what people actually do, alongside what a survey tells you they feel.
For admins and managers
Recognition software is the easy part. The decisions that determine whether a program lasts past the first quarter are about authority, design, and how you read the numbers — so here's what you actually control.
Granting authority is set per award, not globally. Out of the box any employee can give recognition, which is usually the right default. But you can restrict a specific award to managers or a leadership role while leaving everyday kudos open to everyone — so a peer-to-peer program and a manager-led award can run side by side without competing.
Build your own award set with its own artwork, names, and descriptions, grouped into programs. A starter set ships with the platform, but the point is to replace it: an award called "Own It" or "Customer First" does more work than a generic gold star, because the name teaches the value every time someone gives it.
A program can have its own managers who edit it and add awards without full site-admin access. That matters for adoption — the person closest to a team's culture should be able to add an award without filing a ticket with IT.
Challenge awards are earned automatically when someone hits a threshold of real activity — publishing, answering, commenting, or recognizing coworkers. They reward the people doing the quiet, consistent work, which is exactly the group a purely social program tends to miss.
Two levers. Every award has a switch controlling whether it announces company-wide or stays between the recipient, the person recognizing them, and their connections — so quieter recognition is a first-class option. And the leaderboard can be scoped to a program, a space, a manager's own team, or a time window, or restricted by role, or removed entirely. A rolling 30-day board rewards current contribution; an all-time board mostly rewards tenure.
Reporting covers recognition given and received per person, totals over time, and a filterable ledger you can export to CSV. The most useful view isn't the top of the leaderboard — it's the breakdown by department, location, or any profile attribute you track, which shows you the team nobody has recognized in two months. That's the number worth acting on.
Recognition is given and posted immediately — there's no approval queue between an employee and a thank-you. If your program needs sign-off before an award goes public, let's talk through how to structure it.
