Now members of the collaborative Communifire network can learn about new events, RSVP to event invitations, track upcoming events on their calendars, post videos, and more.
(San Diego, CA, USA) – January 18, 2011 – Axero Solutions, an established technology leader in the enterprise social collaboration and networking marketplace, has added a new Community Events feature to their flagship Communifire product. Now organizers of events can promote those happenings throughout their Communifire communities, and members of groups can RSVP, ask questions, make comments, or rate and “like” the events.
“The new Community Events feature helps to coordinate communities by seamlessly and easily merging online, real-world activities with Communifire social networks,” explains Tim Eisenhauer, Axero Solutions Co-Founder and Managing Partner. “Participants can interact with one other before the event and then continue their dialog after the event by sharing their insights, memories, photos, and video clips.”
When creating a new event, for example, organizers will not only be able to include the date, time, and location but they can also provide a photograph to accompany the description of their event and help bring it to life. Targeted members of the community or sub-community can then RSVP to give the organizers up-to-date information regarding projected attendance. Once a member indicates that they plan to attend, an event reminder is also automatically added to their personal calendar to help them track the date. They can talk about the event with their social network friends and colleagues and share the event with others in the community by “liking” it or rating it – both before and after the event.
Meanwhile Communifire administrators will have the ability to set permissions that restrict who is able to view, create, or edit community events.
