Following the release of an earlier REST API, this second version helps to complete the process of making almost the entire platform readily available for greater developer flexibility and simple, easy customization.

By using simple REST methods, developers can now integrate into their projects a broad range of Communifire functions and applications. They can use Communifire functionality in their solutions or bring their own unique functionality and apps into their Communifire communities. In other words, the new REST API seamlessly accommodates the diverse needs and individual visions of other developers and the branding strategies of their respective organizations.
