Communifire social networking platform stimulates connection, dialogue, and consultation within the geographically distributed professional organization.
(San Diego, CA, USA) – August 5, 2010 – The Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) has selected the Communifire social networking platform to power the community section of its website. The network will effectively connect 50,000 members of the ICAA organization who are widely dispersed throughout the Australian continent.

The ICAA will leverage the platform to encourage members to network professionally and to stimulate educational dialog and critical thinking. The myCommunity network will include blogs and forums, for example, where registered members can ask questions, receive expert answers, and even promote mentoring initiatives for the accounting community. The ICAA also plans on creating different sub-communities for their members, including geographical sub-communities and ones around topics of interest. Much of this content will also be available to non-members as a way to encourage people to join the organization.
